Islam is one of the most misunderstood religions. After 9/11 it has become more so. Anyone with a full-grown beard is looked upon with fear. The author presents the ongoing Afghan war in the proper context, albeit from a Muslim's point of view, while presenting the dilemmas faced by the different players in the conflict.

He was also very much involved with the Taliban during their period of administration.
