Holding Hands tells the stories of many different individuals living on the south coast of England, all of whom are linked in one way or another. Throughout its pages, we meet Amy Lucas, a nurse, and Matt, who have struck up a long-lasting friendship after a choice encounter at a local park, and young teenagers Lily and Tom, whose love for one another is a closely guarded secret. We meet Lily's parents who are going through a rough patch of sorts, and Amy's parents, who are still falling in love with one another. Love in its many variations is shown through the generations. Holding Hands is essentially about the relationships we forge from day to day, the friends we make and those we come to love. Here are first kisses and first loves, courageous acts and finding out right from wrong.
