Travis Scott can’t believe his eyes when he sees the skeleton in his science classroom move its head and stare at Nolan, the new kid in class that nobody likes. He’d like to ignore it all, but he has to know if he really saw what he thinks he saw. Travis, Nolan, and a few more new friends, come together to find a way to stop the living bones from taking Nolan’s life. With death on the line for all of them at the bony hands of one who is already dead, terror lurks in the blackness of every sleepless night as the 8th graders learn lessons about life, family, friendship, and love.
Living Bones stars a main character who has become emotionally numb to the world around him and doesn’t even know it. During the journey, he comes to terms with his past, his current family crisis, and building a more healthy future for himself, his new friends, and his family. The threat is very real, and with death lingering so near, Travis is forced to decide what is really most important in his life.
