Mazi Obieze The Warrior

This author combines an heroic epic of one warrior's struggles, with a distinctive focus on the culture and language of his people. The stories of the interaction between several villages culminates in the war between his domain, centred on the life and villagers of Duruike village and that of the aggressive members who reside in Kamalu village. Here the lives of its people are governed by witches and wizards, whose leaders present violent voodoo practices to assault their enemies. The struggle confronts not only the hero of the tale, but considers the impact that such violence has on members of all the Clan villages in the surrounding area. It is a tale which depicts magical and mysterious practices, many of which defy the reader's ability to comprehend. It is graphically described with references to the language and culture of the African inhabitants and will take the reader into a fantasy world of unimaginable extremes.
