A brief liaison with a beautiful nurse has tragic repercussions that cause Jack Sipher to reassess his aimless drift through life and his role in the death of his father. A timely phone call from an old family friend seeking a favour gives him the opportunity to move on. Rich and powerful businessman Paul Everdell has kept in touch with Jack since his father, a close friend and employee died suddenly.
