White sand beaches, pine forests, semi-arid desert badlands, snow-capped peaks, fertile plains, traditional agricultural villages, lush expansive river valleys, olive groves, rolling hills of cork woodland: the GR7 in Andaluc?a takes you on a journey through the most geographically varied region on the Iberian peninsular, and possibly even Europe.The fantastically varied route starts at the southernmost tip of Spain on the coast at Tarifa, and meanders for 1170km through the provinces of C?diz and M?laga before dividing. The northern fork heads through C?rdoba and Ja?n provinces, whilst the southern fork passes through Almer?a and Granada. Along the way, it crosses through 7 stunning natural parks and the Sierra Nevada national park, home to mainland Spain's highest peak, Mulhac?n.This is the first guide to cover the whole of the GR7 in Andaluc?a. It gives detailed route descriptions for around 60 full days of walking, but also offers options for creating shorter sections and days.
